The KM3NeT Collaboration met in Bratislava!

19 June 2026 – The KM3NeT Collaboration gathered last week in Bratislava, Slovakia, for an inspiring Collaboration meeting.

The meeting had a vibrant program, which included a detailed review of the status of construction of the ARCA and ORCA detectors, a refinement of plans for integration and installation, discussion of new ideas for calibration, reports on a variety of ongoing analyses and also hands-on sections devoted to key steps in data processing and analysis.
The results from several analyses were scrutinized in preparation to next conferences. And interesting developments were reported in so many fields, ranging from handling of real-time alerts to multimessenger searches.

During the meeting, the KM3NeT Collaboration was pleased to accept the application of Würzburg University (Germany) to become full member of the collaboration.

Finally, the executive board of the recently established AISBL also met and a discussion was organized on how to harmonize the activities of the AISBL with the other bodies of the Collaboration.

The Collaboration is deeply grateful to the local KM3NeT team in Bratislava for organizing an excellent meeting.

Next Collaboration meeting: in Siracusa, Italy, in October.
