15 September 2025 – We warmly congratulate Luc Cerisy (Aix-Marseille Université / CNRS Marseille), who has been awarded the 2024 GNN Dissertation Prize for his doctoral thesis: “First tau neutrino appearance, non-unitary mixing and absolute orientation measurements in KM3NeT”.
Luc’s thesis explores key aspects of neutrino physics using the unique capabilities of the KM3NeT detectors, from the first searches for tau neutrino appearance to precision studies of neutrino mixing and novel calibration methods. His innovative work contributes directly to advancing both the physics reach and the technical performance of the experiment.
The GNN Dissertation Prize, awarded annually by the Global Neutrino Network (GNN), recognises exceptional PhD research in neutrino astronomy. Luc’s thesis was selected from among ten excellent submissions, underscoring the quality and impact of his contribution.
