Accelerate the implementation of the KM3NeT detector

INFRADEV2 WP3 aimed to accelerate the implementation of the telescopes by reinforcing the KM3NeT Project Office. In particular, INFRADEV2 contributed to reach the objectives set by the KM3NeT mass production paradigm and guarantee the best possible reliability and availability of the detector during its lifetime.

Indeed, in the past years, the project has successfully transitioned from feasibility studies and qualification steps to the detector construction phase, leading to increased integration activities and, therefore, to new challenges especially regarding the project management of the integration process. Thanks to INFRADEV2, additional necessary expertise in these fields was provided by the recruitment of a procurement officer, in order to centralise the management of the procurements, and a RAMS officer to further ensure the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety of the detector.

The activities of WP3 were coordinated by Miles Lindsey Clark, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, France).
